The Candy Factory is owned and operated by Mike and Georgia Howard, lifelong Charleston residents. We began making homemade chocolates in a house on Washington Street East in Charleston in 1980. From there, we went on to be the very first tenant in the Kanawha Mall in Kanawha City.

Our flagship product has always been chocolate covered ANYTHING! We have our famous chocolate enrober that we use to coat chocolate on everything from pretzels, to nuts, to even roses for Valentines. It is, in fact, the exact same design used by companies like Hershey’s and M&M/Mars. Okay, so ours is a bit smaller, but it works just as well. And with our tender loving care in preparation, we believe our chocolate beats the multinational companies hands down.

We love to take the enrober on the road for festivals, parties, and celebrations. Kids LOVE to create their own chocolate covered goodies, so we are big hit with kids of all ages.
